Nbc Might Relent

Although he fired Marv Albert last Thursday after the sportscaster pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery charges, Dick Ebersol, the president of NBC Sports, said he would consider rehiring Albert in the future.

Ebersol would not speculate on how NBC would assess Albert’s ability to return, or how much criticism Ebersol would endure to bring him back. “I think he can get over” the embarrassment, Ebersol said. “We live in a most forgiving society.”
