Associated Press

The Boston Bruins were the most active team in the NHL waiver draft Sunday, claiming centers Tim Taylor and Robert Lang, among the nine players selected.

Taylor played last season for Detroit, collecting three goals and four assists in 44 games. Lang was drafted by Los Angeles in the 1990 NHL entry draft and played in his native Czech Republic last season, scoring 14 goals and adding 27 assists in 38 games before signing with Pittsburgh as a free agent earlier this month.

The New York Islanders picked left wing Tom Chorske from Ottawa and lost right wing Mick Vukota to Tampa Bay. New Jersey claimed left wing Scott Daniels from Philadelphia and lost center Pascal Rheaume to St. Louis.

Calgary chose left wing Mike Peluso from the New York Rangers, Anaheim picked left wing Brent Severyn from Colorado and Phoenix took goaltender Jimmy Waite from Chicago.
