Forward Rasheed Wallace has signed a six-year contract extension with the Portland Trail Blazers reportedly worth $80 million, making him by far the highest-paid player in the team’s history.

Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor and Kevin Garnett’s agent continued contract talks as the team’s Oct. 1 deadline to sign its young star loomed less than 48 hours away.

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed guard Bob Sura to a multiyear contract extension.

The New York Knicks re-signed reserve guard Scott Brooks.
