Detectives Looking For Rapist’S Vehicle

Kootenai County sheriff’s detectives are searching for the vehicle driven by a man who raped a woman last week.

A motorist found the woman lying in a ditch along state Highway 41 near Spirit Lake late last Thursday.

She told detectives her attacker fled in a full-size, 1980s Bronco or similar sport utility vehicle, Sgt. Ken Sopher said. The truck was white or cream, had a red or maroon stripe, a bug deflector and four lights in the front.
