Snacks, Smokes Stolen
A burglar with a snack attack hit the East Trent Excell Food Store Friday night.
A neighbor called police just after 11 p.m. when he noticed a man loading merchandise into a white compact car near the east shipping door.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the store, 14515 E. Trent, they found a shopping cart partially filled with candy and cookies near the door.
The thief had taken about 30 cartons of Camel and Marlboro cigarettes, and an unknown quantity of Nabisco cookies, Snickers bars and KitKat bars.
No arrests have been made, deputies said.
The neighbor described the suspect as a white male, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5-foot-10 and slender.
