Skiing/snowboarding

Mount Spokane, which will close after Sunday, is ending the season with a “Guest Appreciation Day” on Saturday. Get a clue and solve the mountain riddle for free season passes for next year. A complimentary BBQ will be held for all. Info 238-2220.

Silver Mountain closed April 5, but will reopen on Saturday for “Skier Appreciation Day.” Skiers are encouraged to come ski for free.

Schweitzer Mountain will end its season Sunday, but is inviting all to ski one last time and attend a nondenominational Easter service at noon. The slopes, including the Nordic area, will be groomed for the weekend.

49 Degrees North is offering $10 lift tickets today through closing day, which is Sunday. The resort won’t open until 10 a.m. Sunday, one hour later than normal.

In Canada, Kimberley, Fairmont, Whitewater and Red Mountain resorts closed last weekend. Big White, Panorama and Fernie will close on April 19.

Red Mountain will reopen for the weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Red Chair and T-Bar with half-price lift tickets. Info - (250) 362-7384.

Easter Sunday is closing day for Big Mountain Resort in Montana. The resort is inviting skiers to come spend the day and participate in the Wright’s Furniture Race, the Blade Running event and an Easter egg hunt. Info - (406) 862-1900.

Snowmobiling

Fernie Resort in British Columbia is having a Snowmobile Extreme Hill Climb Saturday and Sunday. This could be the last opportunity to get those sleds out. Info - (250) 423-4655.
