This is your last reminder.

The deadline for nominating a teacher for Our Generation’s “Best Teacher” contest is Friday. That means all nominations must be postmarked by that day.

If you’re in grades 7-12 you’re eligible to write a one-page letter nominating a teacher who deserves an award.

The all-student judging panel will be looking for teachers who demonstrate creativity, innovative teaching styles, respect for students, humor and a caring for students outside of the classroom.

Send your nomination (include your name, phone number, the teacher’s name, school and subjects taught) to Our Generation/Best Teachers, 999 W. Riverside, Spokane WA 99201. Fax nominations to 459-5098, attention Best Teachers or e-mail it to laurac@spokesman.com

Riverfront Park is celebrating its 20th anniversary and is looking for entertainment for a week-long celebration in June.

Singers, dancers, bands, comedians, cultural performances, artistic performers, children’s groups and magic acts are all wanted.
