First Presbyterian Offers Classes On Prayer, Sexuality
First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar, will start two new adult education classes on Sunday. The classes will both be offered at 9:45 a.m. this Sunday and on April 26.
The first class is called “Simple and Effective Prayer.” The class will focus on how to pray, what to expect from prayer and how prayer can change ourselves and others.
The second class is called “Talking to Children About Sexuality.” The class is designed for parents of fourth graders, but other parents are welcome to attend. Parents and children will meet separately during the first session, and parents will learn different ways to talk to children about sex. The second session is for parents and their children.

Soup lunch planned
Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 314 S. Spruce, will host a soup luncheon after the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday. All are invited to attend. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will benefit the pastor’s discretionary fund.
The fund is used to help members of the community with various needs.

Highland Park hosts bazaar Highland Park United Methodist Church will host its 50th annual Sukiyaki Dinner and Bazaar on April 25. The meal will be served from noon to 7 p.m. Take-out dinners will be available.
In addition to the dinner, there will be Japanese hand crafts, a doll display, a bake sale and a sushi bar.
