Columbia Paint Expanding Facilities

Columbia Paint and Coatings is building a new 25,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility adjacent to its manufacturing plant at 112 N. Haven.

The $1 million facility, to be completed June 15, will provide storage for 200,000 gallons of paints and coatings and about 1,000 related products the company distributes. No additional hiring is expected.

Ron Guiles, senior vice president of manufacturing and research and development, said the new facility will allow the company to grow 50 percent from its current production volume of 2 million gallons of paints and coatings per year.
