Man Found With Missing Girl Arrested

A man found at a low-income hotel with a 14-year-old Mountlake Terrace girl, who had been missing for five days, has been arrested for investigation of child rape, police said.

Aweke Bedasso, 37, was booked into the King County Jail early Saturday. Bedasso was with the girl when officers found her Friday night in a room at the Bush Hotel in the city’s International District, police said.

The girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation and was reunited with her parents.

She was reported missing last Sunday night, after she disappeared from the Gameworks video-game arcade in downtown Seattle.
