Traffic On Pines To Be Restricted

From Staff Reports

Motorists using Pines Road near Broadway in the Spokane Valley should expect a week of delays and possible detours.

Starting at 6 a.m. Saturday, the state Department of Transportation plans to close Broadway at the Pines intersection and narrow Pines to two lanes both northbound and southbound.

Drivers will not be able to make turns eastbound or westbound onto Broadway from Pines. Broadway traffic will be rerouted to Bowdish and McDonald. The construction will last until 6 a.m. May 11.

Construction crews will be placing a new concrete surface on the road that has been worn from snow tires and heavy traffic.

The project is part of a repaving project on Pines Road from 32nd Avenue to Interstate 90 that will continue this summer.
