Candidates File For November Elections

Here is a list of people who filed their candidacies by Friday’s deadline for Congress, the state Legislature and Spokane County offices. A list of candidates in outlying counties will appear Sunday. The top-vote-getter in each of three political parties (R-Republican, D-Democrat and RF-Reform) in the Sept. 15 primary automatically advances to the Nov. 3 general election ballot. Top candidates from other parties (AHAmerican Heritage, L-Libertarian and S-Socialist Workers) must receive 1 percent of the primary vote to advance. Judicial races are nonpartisan. Incumbents are denoted by an asterisk.
