Here is a list of people who filed their candidacies by Friday’s deadline for offices in Stevens, Pend Oreille, Lincoln, Ferry and Whitman counties. The top vote-getter in each of three political parties (R-Republican, D-Democrat and RF-Reform) in the Sept. 15 primary automatically advances to the Nov. 3 general election ballot. Top candidates from other parties, including Independents (I), must receive 1 percent of the primary vote to advance. Judicial races are nonpartisan. Incumbents are denoted by an asterisk.
