Do You Have Bond Questions?
Do you have questions about Central Valley School District’s upcoming school bond election?
The Valley Voice is ready to find answers for you.
The $78 million bond issue, which voters will decide on Sept. 15, would build a new University High School at 32nd and Pines and completely renovate Central Valley High School on Sullivan.
Q: How much will it cost me?
A: The bond issue, while the largest attempted school bond in the history of Spokane County, works out to a tax rate of 57 cents per $1,000 in assessed property valuation. That’s about two-thirds of the tax rate that Mead School District voters are paying for the year-old Mt. Spokane High School. Paying off the CV bonds would take 20 years.
