Name Sought For Line-Dancing Chicken

Spokane area residents are invited to help 1998 Spokane Interstate Fair organizers come up with a name for the new fair mascot - a country line-dancing chicken.

Entries for the “Name that Chicken” contest will be accepted through Aug. 28. Contest forms are available at all city and county public libraries, the Spokane County Court House and the Interstate Fair office at Broadway and Havana.

The name must be no longer than two words and reflect the familyoriented theme of the fair. Each person can enter one time.

The winner of the contest will be announced Sept. 8 and will receive two fair family packs including adult and child admissions, food coupons and amusement ride passes.
