Was it road rage or food frenzy?

Police were looking for a man who flipped out in a Taco Bell drive-through lane when he couldn’t get his fast food fix.

When officers were called to the restaurant late Monday night, an employee told them a man had ordered chicken gorditas and a Dr Pepper, then become enraged when told the restaurant was out of those items.

The man yelled and swore at the worker over an intercom, then screamed at the driver behind him to back up, police said.

But the other driver, 23-year-old Shawn Fletcher of Longview, apparently didn’t move fast enough, and the irate customer reversed his truck into Fletcher’s car.

Fletcher continued to reverse while the man drove forward and pulled out of the drive-through lane.

After getting out of his small pickup truck, the irate man confronted Fletcher and screamed profanities. Then, police said, he grabbed a bowling ball from the bed of his truck, hurled it through the rear window of Fletcher’s car and sped off.
