Add roast beef to the list of fast-food fare to be found on North Division Street. An Arby’s restaurant is scheduled to open around the first of September just north of Francis Avenue - just a few doors down from where the big, brown hat sign stood as a landmark for so many years.

The restaurant will be next door to Jack In The Box, and down the street from Taco Bell, A&W and Boston Market to simplify things for families with members who have varying tastes.

Ann’s offers homestyle cooking

Homestyle cooking is on the menu at Ann’s Diner, a 2-month-old restaurant at the corner of Nevada Street and Francis Avenue.

The clean, quaint diner has a comfortable ambiance. The menu includes salads and sandwiches, but save room for dessert. All pies and breads are baked fresh daily by the award-winning proprietor.

New owner, new name

The former Cal Spas store at 4402 N. Division has changed owners and names.

The new Spa Connection will feature an expanded selection of spas, gazebos and water-regulating chemicals. They will still carry the Cal Spa line.

Their grand opening sale runs through August.

New oriental buffets

Three new oriental food buffets are set to open next month.

The Moonlight Oriental Buffet, set to open the first week of September, will offer Chinese, Korean and Japanese dishes. The new restaurant will occupy the old Gung Ho restaurant building at the corner of Division Street and Sharp Avenue.

Kay Lon Garden, at 2819 N. Division, will open a “Royal Chinese Buffet” room and Sue Hee’s Buffet will open at 3525 N. Division.
