Thieves Get Less Than $10

Burglars broke into Charlie’s Tavern & Mom Too early Monday morning, but left with less than $10 in loot.

The thieves worked hard for their meager reward, sheriff’s deputies said.

They broke in through the roof, cutting a hole in an air conditioning vent. They also climbed out through the roof.

While inside the business at 122 S. Bowdish Road, they found a small amount of spare cash. But, they didn’t disturb the pitcher of cash sitting on a shelf, according to the business owners. They also didn’t take any alcohol or cigarettes.

Deputies found fingerprints on the air conditioning vent and are continuing to investigate.
