Fire Damages North Side Home

An electrical problem is suspected of causing a fire that damaged a north Spokane residence Sunday morning.

The home’s second floor and the kitchen and bathroom on the first floor were extensively damaged, said Al Green, Spokane Fire Department battalion chief.

The house at 3413 N. Stone also was heavily damaged by smoke.

An elderly man got out of the house without injury. There were no other occupants.

Cause of the fire, which was put out in roughly 15 minutes, is under investigation, Green said.
