Mountain Highway Will Reopen Monday
A section of mountain highway washed out by spring flooding in northeastern Washington will reopen on Monday, the state Department of Transportation said.
Damaged sections of Washington 20 over Sherman Pass have been rebuilt, though some repair work still remains, the agency said. Motorists may experience some delays until work is finished.
Flooding also washed out sections of Washington 21, the main north-south route through Ferry County. Those sections were reopened in June.
Repair costs for the two highways totaled $1.15 million, the Transportation Department said.
