Firefighters Control 125-Acre Wildfire
A 125-acre wildfire near Springdale threatened homes Saturday before being controlled by firefighters.
No injuries or damage to buildings were reported.
The blaze started shortly after 9 a.m. along the railroad tracks, state Department of Natural Resources officials said.
About 100 firefighters battled the fire, about one mile east of town. A helicopter and planes dropped water and fire retardant.
Crews were to remain there throughout the night.
