Group Hosts Meeting On Traffic Loop

The Spokane County Neighborhood Alliance is hosting a meeting tonight to discuss a proposed traffic loop around the metropolitan area.

Known as the urban connector system, the plan would widen roads and link them to new ones. While not a true high-speed beltway, the roads eventually would form a loop around the county.

The alliance has invited city and county planners to discuss the proposal. The meeting starts is at 6 p.m. in Rooms A and B of Washington Water Power Co., 1411 E. Mission.
