St. Michael’S Ends Long Losing Streak

The 1998-99 basketball season is looking much better for the St. Michael’s boys than the 1997-98 season.
John Schindler scored 22 points as the Warriors opened their season Tuesday with a 59-39 non-league win over visiting Mullan.
St. Michael’s finished 0-20 last year and had lost its previous 25 games. The Warriors’ last win was Jan. 18, 1997, against Columbia.

Cummings hit all three attempts from 3-point range. Pullman finished 33 of 65 (51 percent) from the floor.
Clarkston was 15 of 39 from the field and committed 32 turnovers.
