Neighborhood Meetings
The Five Mile Prairie Neighborhood Council will meet tonight at 6:30 at the Five Mile Grange.
Committee leaders will recap the year and discuss updates on area development.
The Northwest Neighborhood Council meeting will be held tonight from 7-9 p.m. at the Shadle Library, 2111 W. Wellesley.
Joe Pazooki, owner of the Shadle Park Center, is scheduled to discuss future plans for the mall and answer questions. The public is welcome.
The Community Assembly will meet Friday from 4-6 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Briefing Center.
Among the agenda items are a report from the Parks and Open Space Committee, discussion of the Peaceful Valley street vacation and formation of the ethics/guidelines subcommittee.
The Bemiss Neighborhood Council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Bemiss Elementary School library, 2323 E. Bridgeport. Agenda information was not available.
The West Central Neighborhood Council will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt.
Paul Sandifur Jr. is scheduled to speak about development plans for the Metropolitan Mortgage project.
The Emerson/Garfield Neighborhood Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a potluck at the Corbin Senior Center, 827 W. Cleveland.
A speaker is scheduled to talk about Indian history in the area.
The Nevada Lidgerwood Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the council office, 4705 N. Addison.
Sheryl Owens will give a report on single family housing rehabilitation, and Todd Cooper will talk about the grand opening of the Lilac Plaza “Funn” Computer Center. Also, allocation of the community development funds will be discussed.
