Information Sought On Bad Checks

Someone is cashing bad checks around the Spokane area with checks from a legitimate company used across the globe by truck drivers, Spokane Police said.

The checks are those distributed through COMCHECK and are most commonly seen at truck stops along interstates, police said.

Officers suggest that anyone receiving such a check call (800) 741-3030 to verify funds.

Investigators also are asking anyone who receives such a check to report any information on the person attempting to cash it to Crime Check at 456-2233.
