Sandpoint Offering Swingin’ New Year’S

Tickets are on sale for a New Year’s Eve of swing dancing and merriment to benefit the Festival at Sandpoint.

The Swing Street Big Band and the Singers Dozen will perform at the New Year’s Eve party that “Sandpoint’s been waiting for,” said Diane Ragsdale, festival director.

The festival staff is planning to transform the Bonner County Fairgrounds building into a romantic, glitzy party scene.

In addition to entertainment, party-goers will be treated to light appetizers and desserts, optional dance lessons, a glass of champagne and party favors, a no-host bar and a chance to win prizes. Formal attire is optional.

The festival also has coordinated with MicroTel Inn for hotel and ski packages and with Ivano’s and The Beach House for dinner packages.

The cost to attend the party is $24 for a single ticket or $45 for a pair. Call (888) 265-4554 for discount rates for larger groups.

In addition to the New Year’s Eve party, the festival is raising money this month with a raffle for prizes, including a trip to New Orleans. Raffle tickets are $5 each.
