Alpine skiing/snowboarding

All area resorts received big dumps of snow this week.

Mount Spokane will be open Saturday, running chairs 1, 2, 3, and 5.

Silver Mountain is offering a Ski and Stay package that will run through this snow season with the exception of Dec. 19-Jan. 3: Pay $39.95 per person, per day for a lift ticket and lodging.

Lookout Pass offers a $4 discount off the $20 ticket price for all who have valid college or military I.D’s.

Nordic skiing

Grooming will start Monday on ski trails at Priest Lake near Hill’s Resort. Info: (208) 443-2525.

Schweitzer’s annual Outdoor Experience Telemark Demo Days is Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Schweitzer will officially open 30 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails Saturday, and the new $5 trail fee will be charged.

The Methow Valley area is reporting 4-6 inches of new snow this week. The Sun Mountain area has 25 kilometers groomed.

Snowmobiling

Mount Spokane trails were groomed Wednesday and Thursday for the first time this season.

Lookout Pass is offering a rental and guided trip package for snowmobile tours. Prices are $175 for a full day and $115 for 4 hours.
