Bateman Has 27 For Badgers

Bonners Ferry used a 27-point effort from Todd Bateman to edge visiting Lakeland 54-43 in an Intermountain League boys basketball game Friday.

Bateman sank 4 of 6 from behind the 3-point arc, while teammate Andy Rice scored 12 points and 11 grabbed 11 rebounds.

There were no double-figure scorers for struggling Lakeland.

At Cottonwood, Josh Lerandeau scored a team-high 12 while teammates Shawn Frosmann and Adam Uhlenkott added 11 apiece to help the balanced Pirates defeat the Miners.

Craig Zanetti scored a game-high 16 for the Miners, who pulled within seven halfway through the fourth. Prairie outrebounded Wallace 29-19.
