Burglars Hitting Cabins In Area

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a string of recent burglaries plaguing cabins around the county.

Seven cabin owners reported several thousand dollars worth of losses in burglaries discovered over the weekend. Missing items included furniture, a wet suit, small appliances and electronic equipment.

Four of the cabins are in the Worley area. Others are in Rathdrum and Hayden.

All of the break-ins were discovered last weekend. A window was broken in most of the burglaries.

Valuables lost and damage to the cabins total more than $30,000.
