Waterlogged Artifacts Rescued At Museum

From Staff

History lovers sloshed around on waterlogged carpets to rescue artifacts ranging from antique tin-head dolls to moose hides after the Bonneville Museum was flooded.

Officials are not sure what caused the flooding on Saturday, but a pipe in a fire-extinguishing system may have burst on the top floor, spilling at least 10,000 gallons of water.

No dollar estimates of the damages have been made, but the museum probably will remain closed for at least two months.
