City Council Oks Spending Plan For Grant
The Spokane City Council on Monday unanimously approved a spending plan for a federal law enforcement grant.
The Police Department will use the $389,440 to upgrade computers, help the county hire a juvenile prosecutor and pay the salary of an accountant to oversee grants.
The federal government will award about $523 million to 3,200 cities across the country based on their populations and crime rate, said Dave Ingle of the police department. , DataTimes
