Tower Won’t Block Montrose Project

Future homeowners in the planned Montrose development need not worry about a cellular phone tower obstructing their view.

The City Council ratified an agreement Tuesday night to locate the tower on the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

US West Vector had proposed building a tower near the development, which is by Chase and Poleline roads. After complaints from Montrose developers, the city’s planning and zoning commission asked US West to examine other possible locations for the tower.

The phone company selected the wastewater treatment plant.

None of the plant’s neighbors objected.
