Cda Man To Lead Valley Chamber
The Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce has new president and CEO.
Loren Mitchell, former Coeur d’Alene businessman and now on the staff of the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce, will head the Valley chamber, starting Feb. 17.
Mitchell, 57, was selected following a five-month search by the Valley chamber’s board of directors.
Former Valley chamber president and CEO Ray Murphy resigned last September to pursue private business interests.
Since then, Jim Huttenmaier, who has been membership development director for two years, served as interim president.
Huttenmaier, one of three finalists for the top job, will remain with the chamber as membership development director and will have a more expanded role on staff.
Mitchell and his brother have operated a sign business in Coeur d’Alene for the past eight years.
He had moved to Coeur d’Alene nine years ago, and plans to move to the Spokane Valley in the next few months.
