Woman Pleads Innocent To Bank Robberies
A Spokane woman accused of robbing five banks pleaded not guilty Thursday.
Lisa M. Dressel, 32, is scheduled to stand trial March 16 in U.S. District Court.
At an arraignment Thursday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Cynthia Imbrogno allowed Dressel to remain out of jail on $30,000 bond.
She must remain at her north Spokane home under terms of her release.
Dressel and her court-appointed attorney, Roger Peven, declined to comment after the arraignment.
Dressel was arrested Jan. 8 after three Spokane banks were robbed in less than 30 minutes. A federal grand jury later indicted her on five counts of bank robbery.
She is accused of stealing a total of $8,362 from the banks between Dec. 15 and Jan. 8.
