Deadline Extended For Forest Permits

People needing special-use permits in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests have until Feb. 27 to apply.

The application period normally ends Jan. 31 but was extended this year.

Special-use permits are necessary for everything from outfitting and guiding to special events and microwave towers.

Applications are available from district rangers’ offices and the Idaho Panhandle National Forests supervisor’s office in Coeur d’Alene.
