Man Steals Money, Soup From Grocery

Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Spokane Valley grocery store Monday night.

Deputies said the man entered Food Rainbow, 4210 E. Sprague, at about 8 p.m. and handed the clerk a note saying, “This is a holdup.”

The clerk offered the robber a small amount of cash, which he took along with a package of dry soup. The man fled westbound on foot, deputies said.

No weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-40s, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 170 pounds, with blue eyes and a thin build. He wore jeans, a stocking cap and a brown, quilted jacket zipped up to conceal part of his face. Anyone with information about this crime should call Crime Check at 456-2233. , DataTimes
