Fake Officers Break Into Home

From Staff Reports

Two men posing as police officers forced their way into a north Spokane apartment Wednesday, Spokane police said.

Residents of an apartment in the 1000 block of West Garland were ordered to the floor after the men burst through the front door at about 10 a.m., police said.

One man had a gun and was wearing a jacket with “Police” printed on the back. The other displayed some type of badge.

The pair told the residents they were looking for methamphetamine and left the apartment without taking anything or hurting anyone, police said.

They are described as white. The first man is about 25 years old, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds with short hair, clean-shaven and with pockmarks on his face.

The second man is about 25 years old, 5-foot-11, 150 pounds with long red hair and several day’s growth of beard.
