Big Changes For Slx

Minor changes at Acura this year: The CL coupe moves up to a larger base engine, from 2.2 liters to 2.3, the zesty limited edition Integra Type R treatment becomes an option on the three-door GS-R and the luxury RL goes sporty with a 210-hp VTEC engine and firmer suspension.

The NSX and TL sedan series are unchanged.

Trucks and SUVs

Big improvements for Acura’s plush SLX sport-ute - including a bigger engine, a new front end and a push-button 4WD system.

The interior has been upgraded with woodgrain accents and leather upholstery and the ABS, cruise control and audio systems have all been tweaked for ‘98.

Horsepower jumps to 215 in the only available engine, a 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 and torque is up too, to 230 ft-lbs at 3000 rpm.
