Isuzu Rodeo Gets Full Make-Over

The Trooper receives styling enhancements (the most significant of them is a spiffy-looking and all-new front end), a new engine and other key changes including a new keyless remote entry system.

The new 3.2-liter, 205-hp V-6 engine (that’s up 15 from last year) is tied to an automatic transmission and new full-time 4WD system.

Look for a new interior, with an improved gauge cluster, better sound systems and changes to the seat-covering material.

The mechanical twin of the Honda Passport, the Rodeo gets the same full-scale makeover as its Honda cousin, including a larger and more aerodynamic body, increased interior space, improved suspension and steering and more power.

In the past the Hombre truck line was limited to a handful of models and options. But no longer. Based on General Motors’ small trucks, Hombres are now available in RWD and 4WD and in count ‘em six different powertrain and body configurations. Buyers will get more torque and less noise from the base 2.2-liter, 120-hp inline four, while the 4.3-liter V-6 makes 175 or 180-hp, depending on whether you pick the two or four wheel drive configurations.
