Graham To Re-Sign With Giants

The New York Giants are about to sign Kent Graham to back up Danny Kanell at quarterback, ending the Giants’ career of Dave Brown, according to published reports.

Graham, a one-time backup to Brown, has agreed in principle to a three-year deal with the Giants and will sign on today or Tuesday, two New York-area newspapers reported Sunday.

The signing almost surely means that the Giants will release Brown.

Linebacker Bryce Paup, the 1995 NFL defensive player of the year with Buffalo, has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to reports in Buffalo and Florida.

Inside linebacker Winfred Tubbs, who set a New Orleans Saints record for tackles last season, has agreed to a five-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers.
