Spotlight: Hiking

The father-daughter team of Bob and Joy Turner of Coeur d’Alene will relive their experiences hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and present a slide show at REI (1125 N. Monroe) at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Joy was just 14 years old when they began the trek in Campo, Calif., last summer, and had turned 15 by the time they reached the end in Manning Provincial Park in British Columbia 2,658 miles later.

The presentation is free.
