G-Prep Picks Lilac Princess

The first of 12 Lilac Festival princesses was chosen Monday night.

Alyson Ryan, a Gonzaga Prep senior, will represent her school. She is the daughter of Dennis Ryan and Michael and Kathy Ryan-Renner.

Ryan, 18, is the varsity cheerleading captain and a food-drive volunteer. She is in the French Club, the DARE program and the Retreat Crew.

She wants to attend Washington State University or the University of Nevada at Las Vegas to study hotel administration.

One of the Lilac princesses will be named queen April 18 at Ferris High School. , DataTimes
