Freeman Earns Reardan Rematch
Northeast A League champion Freeman overcame a slow start Tuesday to bounce back from its first loss in a month.
D.J. Goldsmith had 10 rebounds and Matt Miller added four steals as the Scotties (17-6) eliminated Colfax 64-28 at the boys District 7-1A tournament at Mead High.
Freeman hit 20 of 46 field goals while the Bulldogs (12-11) were held to 28 percent shooting.
Freeman gets another shot at Reardan (15-7) at 7:30 Friday night. Reardan, which toppled the Scotties last Saturday, would advance to state with a win. A Freeman win would force a winner-to-state game on Saturday.
