Saku Koivu and Vincent Damphousse each scored twice and the Montreal Canadiens rallied with four consecutive goals in the final 11 minutes for a 5-3 victory over the Oilers at Edmonton on Friday night.

The Canadiens extended their unbeaten streak to four games and are unbeaten in 10 games against Pacific Division teams (7-0-3). The Oilers dropped their fourth straight home game and are winless in their last seven games.

Koivu stunned the Oilers with 2:08 remaining in the third as the Oilers turned the puck over outside their zone.

Koivu raced in and scored his 10th goal.

Tampa Bay’s Derek Wilkinson and Florida’s Mark Fitzpatrick nearly mirrored each other in goal as the Lightning and visiting Panthers skated to a 2-2 tie.

Ray Whitney, a former Spokane Chiefs star, scored and has 15 goals and 14 assists in 28 games since being claimed by Florida off waivers from Edmonton.

Canucks trade

The Vancouver Canucks traded goaltender Kirk McLean and left wing Martin Gelinas to the Carolina Hurricanes for goalie Sean Burke, left wing Geoff Sanderson and defenseman Enrico Ciccone.
