Coeur D’Alene Man Held In Bar Beating

Police arrested a Coeur d’Alene man late Wednesday in the severe beating of a 37-year-old man outside a bar.

Michael J. Bartosh, 32, was booked into the Kootenai County Jail for aggravated battery and three outstanding warrants. Witnesses told police Bartosh kicked Percy Cochran four times in the face with the heel of his boot.

The blows broke Cochran’s nose and left eye socket. The Post Falls man had to have surgery to mend the breaks and repair his sinuses, police reports said.

Bartosh and Percy Cochran had words after bumping into each other inside Lake City Saloon on Tuesday evening, according to police reports. Witnesses said Cochran stumbled when he left the bar and Bartosh kicked him. , DataTimes
