Pg&E; To Upgrade Gas Transmission

PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest will upgrade four compressors, two at Sandpoint, to boost the amount of natural gas the company can move to the California border.

The $6 million project will increase capacity by about 2 percent without having to expand the pipeline itself, said spokesman David Dodson.

The PG&E Gas system extends from Kingsgate on the IdahoBritish Columbia border to Malin, Ore.

The work is scheduled for completion by Nov. 1. , DataTimes
