Stingrays End Lasers’ Nine-Game Winning Streak

Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil and Trisha Stafford each scored six points in the fourth quarter as the Long Beach StingRays defeated San Jose 99-91 Saturday in Long Beach, Calif., ending the Lasers’ nine-game winning streak.

Yolanda Griffith led Long Beach with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Venus Lacy added 17 points as the StingRays extended their season-best winning streak to four games.

Jennifer Azzi scored 16 of her 30 points in the second quarter for San Jose.
