$4,000 Reward Being Offered

Secret Witness is offering a total of $4,000 to anyone who can help solve the murders of Laurie Ann Wason and Shawn Ann McClenahan.

Their bodies were found Dec. 26 off 14th Avenue near the southeast edge of the city.

Wason’s and McClenahan’s deaths are the latest in a series of homicides of Spokane County women. A task force is investigating 18 similar unsolved killings since 1984. Seven of them have occurred in the past five months.

A brief item in Sunday’s Spokesman-Review incorrectly reported Secret Witness is offering $2,000 for information. The reward actually is $2,000 each in the murders of Wason and McClenahan.
