Republic Shoots Past Curlew Girls

It was as if Curlew failed to show up for the third quarter, and it cost the Cougars in a 56-32 Panorama League girls basketball loss at Republic on Monday night.

The Tigers led just 23-22 at halftime, but held the Cougars scoreless after intermission while scoring 14 points to break open the game.

Lucy Wilson led Republic (2-4 overall, 2-3 league) with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Johanna Paul had 14 points for Curlew, which took just 26 shots from the field (making 10) to Republic’s 53 (making 22).
