Hayden Lake Man Hurt In Truck Collision

A 59-year-old Hayden Lake, Idaho, man was seriously injured Wednesday in a vehicle wreck on Interstate 90 in Spokane, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Clyde Zortman suffered head and chest injuries after his 1991 Toyota pickup collided shortly before 8 a.m. with a 1993 Nissan pickup driven by Jill Schmidt, 21, of Spokane, the WSP said.

Zortman was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center, where he was reported in serious condition late Wednesday.

His truck was totaled in the crash, which occurred at the Lincoln Street exit. Both vehicles were westbound.

Schmidt was not injured, the WSP said. , DataTimes
